  • ESTATE REGISTER: ONE FOR ALL!
    On October 19, 2011, the USAID Local Investment and National Competitiveness project (USAID LINC) and the State Registration Service of Ukraine signed a Protocol of Cooperation, "willing to combine their efforts to form a unified state registration system for estate in Ukraine and create a State Register of Immovable Property Rights"
  • PROMOTING CRIMEAN HANDICRAFTS
    USAID LINC takes various efforts to preserve Crimean traditional handicrafts, a part of the local culture. By joining forces with the Chamber of Crafts of Crimea in handicrafts promotion, the Project eventually supports development of the entire tourism sector on the peninsula.
  • A WELL-PLANNED IMPROMPTU
    For about a decade and a half, the huge, over 170-hectare, site of the former nuke plant project in Teplodar, Odesa Oblast, was dormant, abandoned by the original project and almost undisturbed by new ones. Though the local government did their best to change the situation, it was only after the USAID Local Investment and National Competitiveness Project (USAID LINC) had helped the city write an economic development strategy and created a conceptual design of the site that serious investors discovered Teplodar and its investment opportunities.
  • BAKHCHYSARAY TIC: REVIVING THE GLORY
    On June 10, 2011, a Tourist Information Center (TIC), established with assistance from USAID LINC and the Czech Republic, was inaugurated in Bakhchysaray, Crimea, giving rise to hopes of having more guests and more jobs.
